Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the things customers ask Jason most often. Don’t see yours? Call (318) 443-9494.

How much does a fence cost in Central Louisiana?
Pricing depends on the material, height, length, and any gates or special features. Most residential wood privacy fences run $25–$45 per linear foot installed; vinyl and aluminum start higher; chain link is typically the most affordable at $15–$30 per linear foot. We always provide free written estimates after walking the property — call (318) 443-9494.
How long does fence installation take?
Most residential jobs (150–300 linear feet) wrap in 2–3 days. Larger commercial perimeters or full ranch installs can take 1–2 weeks depending on terrain and gate complexity. We always communicate timing up front and stick to the schedule we quote.
Do you handle commercial fence projects?
Yes — commercial perimeter security, dumpster enclosures, automated access gates, equipment yard fencing, and bid-job installs across Central Louisiana. We carry general liability and workers' comp insurance and provide certificates on request. Property managers, business owners, and general contractors all welcome.
What types of fences do you install?
Wood (cedar, pine, redwood), vinyl, chain link, ornamental aluminum and wrought iron, brick column combinations, and farm/ranch fencing including split rail, post-and-rail, and field fence. We also build custom walk and drive gates and install automatic gate openers.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Jason's Fence Company, LLC is fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial fence contractor work in Louisiana. Liability and workers' comp coverage is current; we'll provide a certificate of insurance for any job, GC, or property manager that requests one.
Do you repair fences you didn't install?
Absolutely. Roughly half our work is repairs — leaning posts, sagging gates, storm damage, vehicle impact. We service fences regardless of who built them, and we try to match existing materials when possible. Same-week service for most repairs in the Alexandria, Pineville, and Lecompte areas.
Are pool fences required by code in Louisiana?
Yes — Louisiana requires pool enclosures with at least 4-foot fencing, self-closing and self-latching gates, and pickets spaced narrowly enough to prevent climbing. We install pool-code-compliant aluminum, wrought iron, and vinyl fencing that meets state and most local code requirements.
What areas of Louisiana do you serve?
We cover the full CENLA region — Rapides, Grant, Avoyelles, Natchitoches, Vernon, Winn, LaSalle, Catahoula, and Concordia parishes. 43 cities total, including Alexandria, Pineville, Natchitoches, Leesville, Marksville, Bunkie, Winnfield, Vidalia, Ferriday, and Jena.
